Am I correct that in order to buy a car in the US, you need a driving licence? If that is so, how do you get a driving license in the first place and take a test if you don’t own a car. I am British with a green card living in the US and want to take a test, get a license and buy a car, but am not sure how to go about it if I don’t already have a car to take a test with.
